Clinton the liar THE BILL CLINTON TAPES #2

Monica was the one who idea was better education for the children in the USA and Hillary Clinton stole it.

October 16, 1997

The law conferred broad investigative powers on Starr and the other independent counsels named to investigate the administration, including the right to subpoena nearly anyone who might have information relevant to the particular investigation. Starr would later receive authority to conduct additional investigations, including the firing of White House Travel Office personnel, potential political abuse of confidential FBI files, Madison Guaranty, Rose Law Firm, Paula Jones law suit and, most notoriously, possible perjury and obstruction of justice to cover up President Clinton's sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky. The Lewinsky portion of the investigation included the secret taping of conversations between Lewinsky and coworker Linda Tripp, requests by Starr to tape Lewinsky's conversations with Clinton, and requests by Starr to compel Secret Service agents to testify about what they might have seen while guarding Clinton. With the investigation of Clinton's possible adultery, critics of Starr believed that he had crossed a line and was acting more as a political hit man than as a prosecutor.

In his deposition for the Paula Jones lawsuit, Clinton denied having "sexual relations" with Monica Lewinsky. On the basis of the evidence provided by Linda Tripp, a blue dress with Clinton's semen, Ken Starr concluded that this sworn testimony was false and perjurious.

During the deposition in the Jones case, Clinton was asked "Have you ever had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky, as that term is defined in Deposition Exhibit 1, as modified by the Court?" The definition included contact with the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of a person with an intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of that person, any contact of the genitals or anus of another person, or contact of one's genitals or anus and any part of another person's body either directly or through clothing. The judge ordered that Clinton be given an opportunity to review the agreed definition. Clinton flatly denied having sexual relations with Lewinsky. Later, at the Starr grand jury, Clinton stated that he believed the definition of "sexual relations" agreed upon for the Jones deposition excluded his receiving oral sex.
Starr's investigation eventually led to the impeachment of President Clinton, with whom Starr shared Time's Man of the Year designation for 1998. Despite his impeachment, the president was acquitted in the subsequent trial before the United States Senate as all 45 Democrats and a smattering of Republicans sided with him.

Paula Jones discussed.
Betty Currie (born Betty Grace Williams; November 10, 1939) is the former personal secretary for Bill Clinton (during his tenure as President of the United States). She became well known as a figure in the Lewinsky scandal for her alleged handling of gifts given to Monica Lewinsky by President Clinton.

Currie's rise in the government bureaucracy began when Joseph Blatchford became Peace Corps Director in 1969 and needed a new secretary. "The job was a crucial one. It had 10,000 people spread out over 68 countries, and I needed a reliable, efficient person," he says. "I didn't ask if she was a Republican or Democrat. I wasn't interested because she was so good." Currie stayed with Blatchford when he moved to ACTION, the federal agency that ran the Peace Corps, and she stayed there through three directors, Blatchford, Balzano, and Brown, building her own network among the people who sit just outside the big corner offices. Her association with the Peace Corps has continued with her appointment to the Board of Directors of the National Peace Corps Association in 2006.

After initially retiring from government service, she met John D. Podesta who encouraged her to return in 1984 to run offices for the Mondale and then again for the 1988 Dukakis Presidential campaigns and later join the Clinton campaign where she worked with James Carville in the famous "War Room" in Little RockArkansas

After Clinton's election to the presidency, Currie served as his personal secretary during both of his terms. She still keeps in touch with the Clinton family, and donated $750 to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008

Currie testified in front of the grand jury responsible for the perjury investigation in relation to Clinton's statement in the Paula Jones case. Currie testified on January 28, May 7 and May 14, 1998. Lewinsky had testified that Currie had arranged a meeting at Lewinsky's apartment to pick up gifts given to her by Clinton, showed up at herWatergate apartment and said, "I believe you have something for me. Currie denied this charge and claimed that Lewinsky had arranged the meeting. Regardless of who instigated the meeting, Currie took the gifts in question home and stored them under her bed. The gifts included, among other things, a hat pin, two brooches, a blanket, a marble bear figurine, T-shirt from Martha's Vineyard, and Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass; the poetry book was of interest as Bill had given a copy to Hillary also.Lewinsky gave Clinton about 30 gifts. The gifts were picked up after Jones' lawyers had subpoenaed them.

It was also revealed that Currie had asked Clinton's friend Vernon Jordan to help Lewinsky find a job in New York on December 8, 1997

Currie also testified that Clinton had recently called her in to work on a Sunday, on January 18, 1998, and pointedly said to her, regarding Lewinsky and himself, "We were never alone, right?" among other leading questions. This, added to similar incidents involving other potential witnesses, led to Clinton's subsequent impeachment charge of obstruction of justice.

Currie was not one of the four witnesses who gave video depositions during the Senate trial.
During the scandal, it was also reported by the Washington Post that Currie was receiving spiritual counseling from Jesse Jackson

Currie has retired and lives in St. Mary's CountyMaryland with her husband. She has a grown daughter. SocksChelsea Clinton’s White House cat, lived with her from the time she left the White House until Socks was euthanized after a long battle with cancer in February 2009.

In December 2008 Currie once again returned to Washington, answering phones for the co-chairman of President-elect Barack Obama’s transition, John Podesta. She did not return to the White House after President Obama's inauguration

Marsha Scott is Clinton's White House Mistress.
Marsha Scott holds the title of "Director of Presidential Correspondence." However, her intimate relationship with Clinton has given her great power.
The American Spectator magazine of Jan. 1997 quotes Clinton's former chief campaign aide, David Watkins, as revealing that Marsha Scott is Clinton's White House mistress. Watkins says that his marriage with Hillary is one of convenience.
Marsha Scott is from Santa Cruz, Calif. She was an anti-war activist who dated Clinton in the 1960s. She is referred to as "Bill's hippie girlfriend." Her title in the White House is Director of Presidential Correspondence. Nevertheless, her power goes far beyond this title.
Watkins said, "Down deep I felt that it was a mistake to fire Billy Dale and the six other White House Travel Office employees, I felt uneasy as I entered the room. The pressure to take action had become intense -- almost unbearable. Hillary wanted the Travel Office guys fired, so there was no question that I had to act upon her wishes."
Thus Watkins fired all the Travel Office people and criminal charges were made against Billy Dale. He was found innocent because the office had in no way mishandled funds. Now, Clinton had no scruples about making Watkins the scapegoat for this scandal.
David Watkins is a boyhood friend of Clinton who also comes from Hope, Ark. Watkins worked in Clinton"s 1982 campaign for Governor. In Aug. 1991 Hillary asked him to open an office to "explore" the possibility of a Clinton run for President. When the race began Watkins was made Chief Operations Officer and says, "I personally signed every check."
When the campaign ran low on cash during the New York primary they were granted a "loan" of $3 million from the Worthen Bank of which the Asian Riady family had an interest. Watkins said that without this money, "the campaign would have fallen apart."
The Riadys owned businesses in Little Rock and donated money to Clinton's runs for governor. Another source of funds was the Worldwide Travel Agency in Little Rock. They would bill journalists in advance for travel costs and then "loan" this money to the Clinton campaign. After defeating George Bush, Clinton named Watkins Assistant to the President for Management and Administration. Hillary then ordered Watkins to make false charges against the government employees in the Travel Office, "So that we can replace them with our own people!" By this she meant those who run Worldwide Travel Agency.
The House Oversight Committee investigated and discovered that now famous White House memo stating that there would be, "hell to pay" from Hillary if Watkins did not fire the Travel Office staff. Clinton, true to his record of stabbing old friends in the back had staffers leak stories to BusinessWeek of May 16 calling Watkins a "dealmaker with a past." Also, the Wall Street Journal carried a story, "the White House is quietly looking into employee complaints about David Watkins." Then, on the David Brinkley TV Show, George Stephanopoulos stated that, "we take these charges very seriously and David Watkins has resigned, he's lost his job."
Marsha Scott - A Power in Washington
David Watkins is the first top White House aide to tell the inside story of Clinton's obsession with power, greed, mistresses and money. He told American Spectator writer Rebecca Borders that Clinton's mistress, Marsha Scott, "has the President's ear as well as anybody in the White House. Because of her relationship with Bill, she is treated with kid gloves by the senior staff."
Watkins says that Scott will sit in on conferences with senior staffers and presidential advisers. She has even sat at the head of the table - in Clinton's chair - when he could not attend.
Miss Scott testified before the House Committee investigating the mysterious death of Vince Foster. She admitted visiting him the day before his death. She told the committee that they mainly talked about his feelings toward his job and family and other trivial matters. Many believe that there was much more to this and that it was a confrontation.
White House Logs show that on the very next night, after the news of Vince Foster's death, she entered the White House at 12:50 a.m. with Mickey Kantor and five others to discuss how to handle the Foster case. The next day Marsha Scott flew with Clinton down to Little Rock for the Foster funeral. She and Bill often travel together. Watkins was on the flight. He said that while Clinton was somber at the funeral, as soon as he got back on the Presidential Jet, "he was joking with the guests and having a good time!"
This is but one more Clinton scandal. When the Whitewater investigation is finished there should be enough evidence of wrongdoing to impeach the SCOUNDREL IN THE WHITEHOUSE!

In January 1998, Tripp gave the surreptitiously recorded tapes to then-Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr in exchange for immunity from prosecution. Tripp disclosed to Starr that she was aware of the relationship between Lewinsky and President Clinton, that Lewinsky had executed a false affidavit denying the relationship that was submitted to the federal court in Arkansas in the Jones v. Clinton lawsuit, and that Lewinsky had attempted to suborn Tripp's perjury in the Jones v. Clinton suit to conceal the Clinton-Lewinsky relationship as well as Tripp's claim regarding Kathleen Willey from the federal court. As Tripp explained, she was being solicited to commit a crime to conceal evidence in the Jones civil rights case. Tripp also informed Starr of the existence of a navy blue dress that Lewinsky owned that was soiled with Clinton's semen. During their friendship, Lewinsky had shown the dress to Tripp and said she intended to have it dry-cleaned; Tripp convinced her not to by providing various spurious reasons such as Lewinsky looking fat in it and the dress being Lewinsky's "ultimate protection".
Based on Tripp's tapes, Starr obtained approval from Attorney General Janet Reno and the special court overseeing the Independent Counsel to expand Starr's investigation into the Clinton-Lewinsky relationship, looking for potential incidents of perjury, to investigate Lewinsky for perjury and suborning perjury as a witness in the lawsuit Paula Jones had brought against Clinton.

While Tripp maintains she acted out of "patriotic duty", some Americans believe that she betrayed Lewinsky in the hopes of using her knowledge of the relationship to obtain a possible book or movie deal, neither of which has occurred to date. Tripp has claimed that she taped Lewinsky out of self-defense, as she feared retaliation from the Clinton administration, also claiming Lewinsky had assured President Clinton that she had only told Tripp about their affair (which was untrue), thus making her a target as she refused to go along with perjuring herself to protect Lewinsky and the President.

Eventually both Clinton and Lewinsky had to appear before a Washington, D.C., grand jury to answer questions, although Clinton appeared via closed circuit television. After the round of interrogation, the jurors offered Lewinsky the chance to offer any last words. "I hate Linda Tripp", she said.

Tripp was portrayed by John Goodman in recurring Saturday Night Live sketches. Tripp liked most of Goodman's impersonations of her, except for one, which hurt her feelings, in which he portrayed her as a man.

The affair led to pop culture celebrity for Lewinsky as she became the focus of a political storm. In 1999, Lewinsky declined to sign an autograph in an airport, saying, "I'm kind of known for something that's not so great to be known for."

On March 3, 1999, Lewinsky was interviewed by Barbara Walters on ABC's 20/20. The program was watched by 70 million Americans, which ABC said was a record for a news show. She cooperated with Andrew Morton in his telling of her life and her side of the Clinton affair in Monica's Story. The book was published in March 1999 and also was excerpted as the cover story in Time magazine. Lewinsky made about $500,000 from her participation in the book and another $1 million from international rights to the Walters interview, but was still beset by high legal bills and living costs. Lewinsky made a cameo appearance as herself in two sketches during the May 8, 1999, episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live, a program that had lampooned her relationship with Clinton over the prior 16 months.

By her own account Lewinsky had survived the intense media attention during the scandal period by knitting. In September 1999, Lewinsky took this interest further by beginning to sell a line of handbags bearing her name under the company name The Real Monica, Inc. They were sold online as well as at Henri Bendel in New York, Fred Segal in California, and The Cross in London. Lewinsky designed the bags—described by New York magazine as "hippie-ish, reversible totes"—and traveled frequently to supervise their manufacturing in Louisiana.

At the start of 2000, Lewinsky began appearing in television commercials for Jenny Craig, Inc. The $1 million endorsement deal, which required Lewinsky to lose 40 or more pounds in six months, gained considerable publicity at the time. Lewinsky said that despite her desire to return to a more private life, she needed the money to pay off legal fees and that she believed in the product. A Jenny Craig spokesperson said of Lewinsky, "She represents a busy active woman of today with a hectic lifestyle. And she has had weight issues and weight struggles for a long time. That represents a lot of women in America." The choice of Lewinsky as a role model proved controversial for Jenny Craig, and some of its private franchises switched to an older advertising campaign. Jenny Craig stopped running the Lewinsky ads in February 2000, concluded her campaign entirely in April 2000, and paid her only $300,000 for her involvement.

Also at the start of 2000, Lewinsky moved to New York City, living in the West Village and becoming an A-list guest in the Manhattan social scene. In February 2000, Lewinsky appeared on MTV's The Tom Green Show in an episode in which the host took her to his parents' home in Ottawa in search of fabric for her new business. Later in 2000, Lewinsky worked as a correspondent for British Channel 5 on the show Monica's Postcards, reporting on U.S. culture and trends from a variety of locations.

In March 2002, Lewinsky, no longer bound by the terms of her immunity agreement, appeared in the HBO special, "Monica in Black and White", part of the America Undercover series. In it she answered a studio audience's questions about her life and the Clinton affair.

Lewinsky was the host of the reality television dating program, Mr. Personality, on Fox Television Network in 2003. There she advised young women contestants who were picking men hidden by masks. Some Americans tried to organize a boycott of advertisers on the show, in protest of Lewinsky capitalizing on her notoriety. Nevertheless, the show debuted to very high ratings, and The New York Times said that "after years of trying to cash in on her fame by designing handbags and other self-marketing schemes, Ms. Lewinsky has finally found a fitting niche on television." The ratings, however, slid downward each successive week, and after the show completed its limited run, it did not reappear. The same year she appeared as a guest on the programs: V Graham Norton in the UK, High Chaparall in Sweden, and The View and Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the U.S.

Both Clinton and Lewinsky were called before a grand jury; Clinton testified via closed-circuit television, Lewinsky in person. She was granted transactional immunity by the United States Office of the Independent Counsel, in exchange for her testimony.[19] Given an opportunity to offer final words on the matter, Lewinsky told the jury, "I hate Linda Tripp."

After Clinton's autobiography My Life appeared in 2004, Lewinsky said in an interview with the British tabloid Daily Mail:
He could have made it right with the book, but he hasn't. He is a revisionist of history. He has lied. [...] I really didn't expect him to go into detail about our relationship. [...] But if he had and he'd done it honestly, I wouldn't have minded. [...] I did, though, at least expect him to correct the false statements he made when he was trying to protect the Presidency. Instead, he talked about it as though I had laid it all out there for the taking. I was the buffet and he just couldn't resist the dessert. [...] This was a mutual relationship, mutual on all levels, right from the way it started and all the way through. [...] I don't accept that he had to completely desecrate my character.
By 2005, Lewinsky found that she could not escape the spotlight in the U.S., which made both her professional and personal life difficult. She stopped selling her handbag line and moved to London. In December 2006, Lewinsky graduated with a master's degree in social psychology from the London School of Economics where she had been studying since September 2005. Her thesis was titled "In Search of the Impartial Juror: An Exploration of the Third-person effect and Pre-Trial Publicity." Since then she has tried to avoid publicity.

Lewinsky corresponded in 2009 with scholar Ken Gormley, who was writing an in-depth study of the Clinton scandals, maintaining that Clinton had lied under oath when asked detailed and specific questions about his relationship with her.
